Native American Advancement Corporation (NAAC) is lead and managed by principals who have over 30 years of combined experience with weatherization, heater replacement, general construction, social outreach programs such as, but not limited to Building Performance Institute (BPI), Workforce Investment Adm.; WIA Indian Job Service, senior and youth development, low income heating and energy assistance, state agencies, and federal programs.
Over the past fifteen years, the principals have successfully administered and managed programs which addressed energy savings and fuel assistance, job creation, job training, housing, health disparities, diabetes and alcohol and drug elimination programs and in 1995, the management was instrumental in the founding of the New Jersey Commission on American Indian Affairs. The core principals of this organization have successful management history and policies in place to maintain and build the capacity of its staff through partnerships, workshops, training, and outreach. New ways of delivering this service will be sought continually so as to service those in need.
NAAC operates from their headquarters located in City of Bridgeton, Cumberland County. This location serves as the headquarters for outreach, audit and financial management. Client intake and services is managed at this office. NAAC has partnerships with Cumberland, Salem Gloucester, Atlantic and Cape May County Social Services,
Tyrese Gould, President/CEO, is past Executive Director of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indian (NLLI) Cultural Center, responsible for the management of community development programs including the Administration for Native Americans (ANA) workforce development funding, providing more than 25 years program management experience. Ms. Gould has developed operations policy and fiscal protocol for various non-profit organizations and is responsible for securing and administering over 3 million in community funding. Ms. Gould maintains certifications in Construction Management and Grant Management along with an AA Degree in Computer Science.
Mark Gould, VP- Director of Programming, is a founding member of the NJ Commission on National and Community Service, and The NJ Commission on Indian Affairs. Mr. Gould currently serves as Chairman of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape tribal council, which owns/operates a cultural Center/Office in downtown Bridgeton, NJ. Tribal outreach programs operate within the Bridgeton City Office and reach a community of over 12,000 members. Formerly, Mr. Gould served as Principle of MG Builders for 32 years until joining NAAC in 2010.
John L Barry, Director of Operations, is past Director of Community Development for the City of Bridgeton where he successfully served as Administrator for the US HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and supervised ARRA program development and reporting. In addition, Mr. Barry served as Executive Director for the New Jersey DCA-Urban Enterprise Zone Program managing a revolving loan portfolio and over 9 economic development grant programs (2.5 Million).
All managers provide many years of operational experience in fiscal operations, staff development, project, and construction management.
